How it all started
Collecting resources, building roads, haggling over the last sheep and groaning at the third seven in a row: that is exactly why we love settler games. Since we cannot always sit at the same table, we usually meet online for a game.
Again and again we ran into the same limits. The well known online options quickly get expensive as soon as you want to play more than the base game: expansions and many maps are only available with a membership or for an extra charge. And even then the choice stays small, because there are only a few expansions.
At some point it was clear: if the game we want does not exist, we will just build it ourselves. That is how Hexfolk was born.
